Elizabeth Sterling

Elizabeth graduated from University College Dublin in 2016 with an MSc in Physiotherapy (pre registration). Prior to this she completed a BSc in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Limerick. Following the completion of her physiotherapy degree Elizabeth spent some time travelling in New Zealand and Australia before settling into a private practice physiotherapy role in Central Hawkes Bay in New Zealand. Elizabeth was based here from 2018 to 2021 and gained experience in a number of areas. These included musculoskeletal physiotherapy treating a wide variety of disorders and injuries across all ages, post operative rehabilitation (e.g. total hip, knee and shoulder replacements, rotator cuff repairs, ACL reconstructions etc), inpatient rehabilitation in the local hospital, sports injuries, and onsite physio cover for a large processing plant. Elizabeth took the opportunity to complete further study whilst in New Zealand and completed courses in the Mulligan Concept, dry needling and respiratory care.

Since returning home to Ireland in 2021 Elizabeth spent some time assisting the Covid Vaccination Team whilst also taking on some hours as an agency physiotherapist for the HSE.

Elizabeth is passionate at helping each client reach their goals and return to the level of functioning  that they require through the use of manual therapies, dry needling, stretching, massage, exercise programmes and general advice and education about their condition.

While not in the clinic Elizabeth spends her time helping out on the family farm in North Tipperary, hacking out her horse or chilling out with her dog. She has previously played camogie, hockey and rugby also.
